Danielle Maria Moss
Criminal Charges, Drug Crimes, Sex Crimes, Domestic Violence, Fraud/Forgery, Theft, DUI, Child Custody Disputes, Temporary Protective Orders, Obstruction
DANIELLE MOSS has been a passionate advocate for her clients practicing criminal defense and family law on the state and federal level for 25 years. Her approach to defending her clients is deeply personal and steadfast. Her belief that “knowing your case inside and out, means winning your case” has resulted in numerous acquittals and dismissal of charges. From defending against rape and aggravated assault charges to mounting an offensive approach to help victims of domestic violence, and winning bitter custody battles, Danielle has proven that she deeply cares about and understands her clients’ lives and the need to win.
She loves to mentor young lawyers and makes herself available to assist other attorneys on legal matters. She has acted as a judge for Emory Law School’s prestigious Moot Court Society. She has also been a judge for The University of Georgia’s Mock Trial Competition, Emory University’s Peach Bowl National Mock Trial Competition, a judge for DeKalb County’s High School Mock Trial Competition and a judge for Emory University Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program.
As a career long member of Georgia’s Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Danielle has been both a speaker at criminal seminars and a yoga instructor at criminal defense seminars. Danielle has regularly appeared on CNN, Court TV and other national and local TV programs, where she is a legal commentator on both high profile and local legal issues and cases.
Aside from the practice of law, Danielle is a proud mom helping to teach her family the importance of giving back. She is involved with the Boy Scouts of America, her church, and St. Jude’s Childrens’ Research Hospital. She is also a certified yoga teacher and donates much of her time to helping victims of trauma through meditation and yoga. She is always willing to lend an ear or a hand to those in need.
Stephen J. Berk
Criminal Defense, Felonies, Misdemeanors, Drug Cases, Sex Offenses, DUI, Divorce, Child Custody and Support, High Conflict Cases, Juvenile Court Matters, Appeals, Estate Litigation
STEPHEN J. BERK is, first and foremost, a skilled litigator and presence in the courtroom. By analyzing every case as if it will need to go to trial, most cases are resolved without the need for one. If trial is necessary, he simply out-prepares his opponent and gets his clients the outcome they demand. After 25 years “in the trenches” from municipal court through juvenile, state and superior court and up to the Georgia Supreme Court, his wins are consistent. His clients are everyone: the stay at-home mom, the blue collar worker, the entrepreneur, the doctor, other lawyer colleagues as well as their children and parents.
For most people calling Stephen, they are having a bad moment and a difficult time. A free phone consultation may be all the situation demands. When more is required, an office conference is available and after-hours and weekend appointments are possible. The best civil litigators have Stephen’s criminal litigation background. From criminal defense to high-conflict divorce and custody litigation, Stephen gets results. When he knows the trial court has made an error, he successfully reverses cases in the appellate courts. In our litigious world, sometimes opponents do not play fair. Stephen has sought and obtained frivolous litigation attorney’s fees awards for his clients.
Even when not in the courtroom for his clients, his legal skills and opinions can be seen throughout metro Atlanta and beyond. He gives frequent commentary on Court TV and can be seen teaching and assisting the next generation through Moot Court competitions, the Boy Scouts of America and coaching youth sports. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and other voluntary bar associations and is admitted to practice in Georgia and New York. Sometimes winning is the only option. Stephen’s tireless advocacy and working with a network of professionals gets that done.
